Hill of Diamonds is an Irish Sport Horse Stallion, already a proven performer having jumped his way to grade B in three short seasons. In his first showjumping season Hill of Diamonds narrowly missed qualifying for the five year old category in the RDS, having only been beaten on time. He was placed sixth in this qualifier. He went on to be placed in ten consecutive 1.00m competitions. In Millstreet, Hill of Diamonds was placed in the 1.00m, 1.10m and 1.10m ladies competitions. In his 2nd showjumping seasons he continued this from and won three boomerang qualifiers for the renowned Millstreet horseshow. This seasons Hill of Diamonds went from strength to strength jumping clear rounds at every show he went - Claremorris, Galway County, Mullingar, Cavan, Millstreet to name but a few. In his 3rd season Hill of Diamonds continued to produce the goods jumping clear rounds in 1.20m and 1.30m competitions. Towards the end of this season Hill of Diamonds became lame due to the reoccurrence of a injury in his front leg. It was decided at this stage to retire Hill of Diamonds to stud.
Up until now Hill of Diamonds has not been advertised for stud. He has covered some local untried mares and has produced some impressive results. A Hill of Diamonds 5 yr made 12,000 at Cavan horse sales. Two ponies (Castle Hill, The Third Pearl) by Hill of Diamonds are also on the Irish showjumping pony team. Niall's Dream 16.2hh bay mare is currently jumping 1.30m competitions throughout Ireland. A pony by Hill of Diamonds was also sold to Northern Ireland for a significant sum of money. All of the above progeny were produced from untried mares.
Hill of Diamonds is by the legendary Clover Hill and out of a Diamond lad mare. In these combined rare Irish bloodlines "Hill of Diamonds" contains such names as King of Diamond, Ben Purple, Golden Beaker, Tara and Blue Tudor.
Clover Hill was ranked in 4th place in the 2001-2002 world rankings and the legendary Irish Draught Stallion has sired 40 International showjumpers including Carling King, Flo Joe, and Cagney. He is alongside King of Diamonds as the two most renowned Irish sires of all time. King of Diamonds is the single best known Irish Draught Horse of modern times. He was ranked 21st in the world breeding rankings for the period 1992-2001 on the basis of 19 of his progeny, including Rodrigo Pessoa's Special Envoy, John Ledinghams's Millstreet Ruby and John Fargis's Mill Pearl.
Diamond Lad is another legendary Irish Draught Sire who is belonging to the most successful RID family ever. His Dam "Kildalton Countess" foaled 5 RID Stallions including Glidawn Diamond, Diamond are Trumps and Kildalton King. Diamond Lad is also the Sire of international showjumpers such as "Chip a Diamond", "Heather Blaze" and "Creggan Diamond"
